Inspired by the rich history of North America’s East Coast, the Cape Cod's distinguishable watch case took its unique shape from Hermès’ Chaîne d'Ancre, a link made in likeness to a nautical anchor chain. The easy elegance of its long and curvaceous lugs evokes the spirit of New England's coastline from which this piece gets its name. Quite ironic considering that the maison's Parisian headquarters are located over 3,300 miles away at Rue de Faubourg Saint-Honoré.
This piece, a Reference CD7.810, features a 33mm ‘square-within-a-rectangle’ case with a curved sapphire crystal, signed crown and 'chain' lugs dressed with a signed gray alligator leather strap secured by a stainless steel buckle.
The gloss gray dial features applied ‘Arabic’ numerals with a mirror polish finish, a matching handset, a tone-matching date indicator at 6 o’clock and center minute track bordering a hobnail finished dial center.
